Previous Events Print this page Since its formation, the St. Charles County Ambulance District Honor Guard has participated in several funerals honoring fallen responders throughout the state. Below is a list of our past events and activities: 2007 April 3 Honor Guard meets for its first meeting. April 30- May 4 Commander and Asst. Commander attend Honor Guard academy at Elmhurst, IL Fire Academy. May 23 Posted Colors at the SCCAD monthly Board meeting-First Honor Guard event. June 20 Colors Carry at Rascals semi-pro baseball game. Aug 29 Posted and retrieved Colors at the SCCAD Paramedic School Graduation Ceremony. Sept 11 Assisted O’Fallon Fire and Police Honor Guards with 9-11 Ceremony. Sept 28 Colors Carry at Shield 24/7 Fundraising Event. Dec 3 Served as primary Honor Guard for a LODD funeral for Wilford Livingston, First Responder with the Cole County Medical First Responders. 2008 Jan 20 Assisted area Fire Department Honor Guards for a LODD funeral for Louis Berra, Firefighter/Paramedic with the West County EMS and Fire Protection District. Mar 6 Served as primary Honor Guard for the funeral for David Wetter, Paramedic with the Marthasville Community Ambulance District. April 16 Served as primary Honor Guard for the visitation service for Thomas Cierpiot, retired Firefighter with the West Overland EMS and Fire Protection District. April 22 Posted Colors at the SCCAD monthly Board meeting in honor of new board member Matt Simmons, and to commemorate our 1 year anniversary. May 24 Assisted O’Fallon Police Honor Guard with Flag Postings at the Fort Zumwalt High School Graduation. May 28 Flag raising at our new Station #14 for its Dedication Ceremony.
June 5 Colors Carry at Rascals semi-pro Baseball game. June 14 Colors Carry in the St. Peters Old Tyme picnic parade. June 28 Colors Carry in the New Melle picnic parade. July 4 Colors Carry in the O’Fallon 4th of July picnic parade, our Honor Guard placed 2nd in the Color Guard competition. July 21 Assisted area Fire Department Honor Guards for a LODD funeral for Ryan Hummert, Firefighter/Paramedic with the Maplewood Fire Department.
Combined Clinical Conference (MEMSA). Aug 19 Flag raising at our new Station #17 for its Dedication Ceremony.
Aug 25 Posted and retrieved Colors at the Ceremony.
Sept 11 Assisted O'Fallon Police and Fire Honor Guards with 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony.
Assisted St. Peters Police Dept with Flag posting at their board meeting and 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony.
Assisted O'Fallon Fire Honor Guard with Flag posting and retreival at Cornerstone Methodist Church 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony.
Sept 12 Posted Colors at the NAMSE Conference.
Sept 22 Colors Carry at Shield 24/7 Fundraising event.
Sept 28 Flag raising at our new Station #30 for its Dedication Ceremony.
Oct 12 Colors Carry at the Desoto EMS/Fire/Police Appreciation Ceremony.
Nov 11 Presented Colors with VFW Local 10838 St Peters at the USO Veterans Day Ceremony at the Fort Zumwalt South High School.
Dec 02 Presented Colors at the dedication of the St. Charles city Library at Elm St, St. Charles.
2009
Jan 09 Coordinated and participated with the follow ing area Honor Guards (Central County Fire, St. Peters PD, and O'Fallon Fire) in a Colors Carry at the Longhorn Rodeo at the Family Arena.
Jan 12 Participated along with 9 other Fire Honor Guards at the Gov. Nixon Inaugaration Parade at the State Capital, Jefferson City.
Jan 21, 22 Served as primary Honor Guard for the visit- tation and funeral for Jim Davenport, EMT with the Callaway County Ambulance District.
Mar 16 Participated with OFallon and Warrenton Fire Honor Guards in the visitation service for Lonnie Sachs, Battalion Chief with the Rivers Pointe Fire Protection District.
Mar 21 Flag raising at the new Emergency Oper- ations Center (EOC) for the city of Portage De Sioux at their grand opening ceremony.
May 2 Participated along with numerous Veterans organization Honor Guards in the St. Charles County Flag Retirement Ceremony.
May 12 Posted Colors at the West St. Charles County Kiwannis Prayer Breakfast.
May 14 Posted Colors at the EMT Graduation for the St. Charles Adult and Community Education EMT program.
May 23 Attemded National EMS Memorial Service for 2009 in Roanoke, Virginia.
June 5 Visitation Service for St. Charles County Ambulance District Paramedic Stephen McKee.
June 6 Funeral Service for St. Charles County Ambulance District Paramedic Stephen McKee.
June 20 Colors Carry in the St. Peters Old Tyme picnic parade.
June 27 Colors Carry in the New Melle parade.
July 2 Assisted Warrenton Fire Honor Guard with the Visitation Service for Terry Burnette, Firefighter with the Wright City Fire Dept.
July 3 Assisted Warrenton Fire Honor Guard with the Funeral Service for Terry Burnette, Firefighter with the Wright City Fire Dept.
Aug 12-14 Posted and retreived the Colors at the Combined Clinical Conference (MEMSA).
Aug 30 Flag posting at the new Augusta FD Station 1.
Sept 11 Assisted OFallon Police and Fire Honor Guards with 9/11 remembrance ceremony.
Sept 11 Participated with St. Peters PD and Central County Fire Honor Guards with the Fort Zumwalt 9/11 remembrance ceremony.
